MATCH REPORT: Rotherham United 4-1 New Bradwell St Peter

Rotherham United Women booked their spot in the semi-finals of the East Midlands Women’s Regional Football League Cup with a four-some attacking display.

New Bradwell St Peter Ladies were the latest side to succumb to Adam Rawlings’ free-scoring Millers at Roundwood.

Lexie Butterworth continued her own recent scoring streak, adding two more to her season’s tally in the first half, while defenders Amy Nowell and Sidni Simmons made sure after the break to complete the 4-1 scoreline.

On another soggy South Yorkshire day, the visitors managed to briefly peg Rotherham bag with a long-range free kick, but they soon fell behind again as the Millers dominated possession and continued to carve out chances.

It added up to a third win in a row for Rotherham, who entertain Anstey Nomads in the league on Sunday at Roundwood (kick off at 2pm).
