Rotherham United Women have added fresh firepower to their squad with the signing of former England youth international Chenè Muir.

The 20-year-old brings Women’s Championship experience with Derby County and Sheffield United Women.

The pacy forward has already made an impact in red and white, setting up the final goal for Laura Bartup in Sunday’s 4-0 FA Cup win over Spennymoor Town.

Chenè said: “I’m really excited to join the team and start this new chapter.

“I’m here to bring hard work, energy and a winning mentality, while helping the

team wherever I can.

“My ambition is to have a strong season, compete at the highest level and achieve something special together.”

Muir’s arrival follows the recruitment of Bartup, winger Lauryn Wilcock, striker Jasmine Saxton and attacking midfielder Hannah McWilliams.

The investment is already paying off on the pitch, with the attack-minded Millers having netted 20 times already in their first five games.

Next in the firing line are Harrogate Town Women, who host Rotherham at Rossett Sports Centre on Sunday at 2pm.
