Ossett United 1-4 Rotherham United

Rotherham United made three wins in a row on the road to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

Their victory at Ossett United was the second in succession away from home in the league by an impressive 4-1 margin, but this time they had to come from behind. 

The hosts broke the deadlock just ten minutes in, but it didn't take long for the Millers to draw level, Eden Hinchliffe firing home right-footed on 16 minutes.

Laura Bartup put Rotherham ahead for the first time just before the half-hour, latching onto a through ball and slotting home.

The second half saw Ossett looking to stage a comeback of their own and the Millers had to dig deep in defence at times.

Jasmine Saxton thought she had restored restored Rotherham's two-goal lead before being pulled back by an offside flag.

Hannah McWilliams almost bagged her fourth of the season, firing not far over the bar. 

Two goals in a matter of minutes effectively ended the game as a contest in the Millers favour. 

An Ossett attack was broken down and they were quickly undone on the counter.

Sub Stacey Buxton fed Saxton and the striker calmly did the rest before joyously celebrating her second Millers goal.

Pip Cassidy made it four with seven to go, finding herself in space on the right and advancing to loft a skilful finish into the Ossett net.

The result gives the Millers seven points from nine in the league and with clear momentum ahead of next Sunday's FA Cup tie home to Spennymoor Town at the Rotherham Hospice Community Stadium
