Rotherham United Women can confirm that Ben Mawson has left his role as Head of Football.

Rotherham United Women can confirm that Ben Mawson has left his role as Head of Football.

We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Ben for his commitment and hard work during his time with the club.

Ben played an important role in helping guide Rotherham United Women through a challenging period and providing stability during the club’s transition into new ownership. 

We are grateful for the professionalism and dedication he has shown and wish him every success for the future.

Since the change in ownership this summer, Rotherham United Women has entered an exciting new chapter. Significant investment is being made both on and off the pitch as we continue to strengthen every area of the football club.

We have already welcomed a number of exciting new signings, with further additions to come as we continue to build a squad capable of achieving our ambitions. Across the club, preparations for the new season continue at pace as we lay the foundations for long-term success.

Our target this season is simple: to win the league.

Alongside that, we want to compete to win every cup competition we enter, play exciting, attacking football and create a club that our supporters, volunteers, sponsors and the wider Rotherham community are proud to call their own.

This is only the beginning. Our long-term ambition is to build a club capable of progressing through the women’s football pyramid and, ultimately, competing in the Women’s Super League.

The Board would like to thank Ben once again for his contribution and wish him every success in the future.
