Millmoor Reborn Consultation

Help shape Millmoor's next chapter
Rotherham has 94 women's and girls' football teams, a number that has grown 30–35% since the 2022 Euros. But the borough has only six full-size 3G pitches against a need of more than 16, and 25 local teams travel to Sheffield to play. Inactivity is high too: 35.3% of adults in Rotherham Central are inactive, and around 31% of Year 6 children are living with obesity. Millmoor, near the town centre and Rotherham Central station, could help.
The starting £9.5 million vision explores a stadium, floodlit 3G pitches, a women's and girls' centre of excellence, padel courts, low-cost fitness and space for other sports, schools and community groups. Heritage ideas like the Derek Dalton Clock and a heritage trail would keep Millmoor's character. Nothing is decided yet. We want to know what you'd use and can afford, and what concerns you have about noise, traffic, safety or the environment. Your views will shape the next design and funding conversations.
